so goofy it may as well be a romcom

[the start of everything has just been... well, getting used to it all, for Olivine. he's not used to being ignored, though it doesn't offend him, so much as just... there's a little bit of a sense of uselessness in it for someone who's used to being helpful.

with that in the back of his mind, he's brought to the sound of utter despair, somewhere down the way in the basement. where exactly? he's... really not sure, but it's so mournful as to be concerning. and concerning is a good way to get Olivine to start looking, coming round the hall at just the right time to be called to.]

Ah- [well, extrapolating from the lack of wailing and the plea, the priest suspects he's found the culprit of the latter. concern knits over soft features, though the level of dramatics does cool that feeling slightly, internally. that's good, at least—no one is in danger of dying or anything yet.] what's happened? And—it's fine, you needn't make promises. I'm happy to help.

[especially not to him, he thinks. right now he's just worried about seeing what's going on, thinking about as much over his cropped shirt and mostly bare stomach as ever (which is not at all, this is just normal for him), let alone the prospective state of what he's about to walk into. could it be that bad? probably not, if Lorenz thinks he just needs an extra hand.

(to the taller man's credit though—the machines are confounding, even when you're used to washing clothes. he hasn't even tried to use them yet... and may just stick to hand-washing if he can.)]
